can i hook up my compressor to my mixer through the insert? and if so...when i got my insert cable, one said TIP and one said RING...does it matter which one goes to the IN or OUT?

Feb 28, 2005 08:59 pm yeah make sure you're using an insert 'patch' cable, where one end is a TRS and the other end is two mono TS cables....tip, i think goes to the input of the compressor and sleve goes to the output...not positively sure though, you'll be able to tell real quick, either you have sound or you don't.

In = Return... and if you're using a Hosa with the grey, and orange buisness, it should say right on it which is tip, and sleeve .
