has anyone used this ? what i am reading is that i can use this on my vf-16 and assign it to tracks 9-16 via the adat input for 16 track simultanious recording, also giving me 8 additional xlr inputs and gain controls individually .anyone with experience with this or similar product let me know what you think of this route as an 8 input at once is not enough for me .thanx

Feb 22, 2005 10:03 pm I use this very same setup with great results. I can record the whole band live and mix down later. It's great.
Coco is in the process of doing a lot of research on the same setup. You should pick his brain to see what he has come up with. I'll bet he'll chime in here in a day or two.

Feb 23, 2005 04:09 am Woooohooo..man, I just got the VF160 from Ebay for only £320 + postage so HAPPY I AM!!
I'll be nabbing one of those Behringer units to connect the other 8 mixer channels up and do the very same setup as Geetar Jim...
You'll also need the relevant digital connections (Jim know's what the wire is called) - I canny mind but aye, lookin into the whole thing further I am as we speak...
IF I find any more tidbits, I'll post em. Mike Grisafi also uses this unit and has some good results from what I heard...
Aye, I cannot WAIT on it arriving! WOOOHOOO!
Coco.
Feb 23, 2005 04:49 am Hey, would this work in conjunction with my aardvark?
Or have i misunderstood :S
Please explain the process if you have time!
Feb 23, 2005 07:50 am wow ,awesome feedback .i wasn't sure if i was understanding the process correctly .it's nice to have positve reinforcement .i have the older version of the vf-16 in which it only has two lo-z and 6 hi-z inputs so it has been a trying time micing two things at once then track exchanging them all with the 8 additional mic inputs i will be able to mic drums effectively and run guitars direct if need be .thanx for the feedback again.
