M-Audio OmniStudio USB recording problem

I'm no recording master, but recently got the M-Audio OmniStudio USB. I disabled the SB card, configured my recording programs (both CoolEdit and Sound Forge Studio) and designated the Omni for recording. But I cannot get any signal out of it. Signal in but not out. All I have in is a mic (EV RE-20). What am I doing wrong?

Hey Brian, did you solve this problem? I'm having the same problem with my Omnistudio USB.

I had the same problem too when I first got the omnistudio a year ago.

I totally remove the SB card, reinstall the M-Audio driver.. and everything works well since then...

I had that same card and it ended up having a hardware problem. there was no control room/monitor playback. but after I recorded it would play.

I ended up spending an extra 100 dollars and getting the emu 1820 and there is 8 1/4" inputs. so that works well with my 8-bus Behringer MX9000
