using Reason 2.5 through Keyboard Problem

Hello there:

I've got a problem while using Reason 2.5 through my Yamaha PSR550 keyboard, live:
I've set Preferences/Advanced MIDI/External Control to MIDI port in order to receive MIDI data on BUS A. And have set e.g. Channel 14 to Subtractor.
When I play a song on the keyboard Subtractor receives MIDI notes and everything is OK.
But when I set my keyboard to "Repeat" the song, at the point it rewinds to begining of the song, the "Level" fader on "Subtractor" diminishes to zero!
I don't know may be whenever the song on the keyboard rewinds, it sends some Control Messages to Reason... But the "Options/Enable MIDI Remote Mapping" is unchecked.
I should mention that the problem occurs also on Malstrom, NN-XT, RV7000 and maybe the rest.
If you could please help me through this problem.

Thanx,
Sepand

Hey, Welcome to HRC! Sadly, I know very little about midi and even less about Reason, so I can't offer any help, but I'm sure someone can and will jump in here pretty soon, so just hang on.

I noticed that you posted this question twice and went ahead and deleted the duplicate, I'm assuming it was an accident and it's all good, but please try to watch it and only post once. Nothing to worry about, like I said I'm sure it was an accident.

Anyway, sorry I can't help out, but I can offer you a firm welcome to HRC!

A question, how do you connect your keyboard to your computer?

Also, in the piano roll area, click the blue box that shows your envelope lanes. Right click on the blue lane that shows up, and hit clear automation. That may help, if you have some automation that is showing up.

Also, is this happening while you are recording, or while you are just playing back previously recorded notes?

Dear Coolo:
I connected keyboard to my Audigy Sound card via MIDI port .
I sould mention that I didn't do any recording on Reason. That occurs when I play a previously recorded song on the keyboard itself.
Also, I didn't record any automation on Reason. ( I clicked on "Show Device Controllers" button on Track view of Reason and all of the lanes including "Master Fader" is marked "Not Automated")
I just use this method to add color to my playing recorded song (with the advatages of Reason's vast variety Refills) and I play it repeatingly to be able to improvise on it by guitar for hours!
And also I noticed that whenever I push "Stop" button on keyboard, one of the "Amp Envelope" faders in Subtractor, moves a bit and immediately returns to its first position!!!!

i've had similar problems accually!! first check for any automation that might have been recorded....should be a brite green square aound the knob or fader....if not it's something that might be saved in the patch that has been changed...i'd rewind the song reopen the patch you're using (if its custom, then be sure to save it first with the volume up) then save the song with the new patch and close reason.....hopefully it works, cuz i know i've had this problem b4 and have fixed it...just keep exparementin' with it.

peace
