I've been trying to become real familiar with Reason like I am with Fruity Loops. I'm using the NN-XT advanced sampler in Reason to trigger a kick and a sample.
In fruity loops, I can take the sample and no matter what note I hit (whether C1 or C6), I have the ability to automatically resample, restretch the sample so its the same length, just lower or higher octaves of it.
Can this be done in Reason? When I play the sample in Reason and I hit different notes, it changes the octaves correctly but the sample speeds up or slows down. I was hoping Reason had an automatic resample feature.
By the way, I'm using Reason 2.0

Feb 14, 2005 11:31 am I'm not sure if this can be done. The few times I've wanted to do it, I have pre treated the sample in Cool Edit, which can do it.
Feb 14, 2005 12:50 pm yeah highlight (select) the sample you wanna change the pitch of then you should have access to the knobs just below the keyboard interface there should be one that says pitch so adjust it to where you want it....not exactly resampling but i gather you're just tryin' to drop the pitch of the sample....

Feb 14, 2005 06:19 pm drop the pitch of the sample but keep the same length of the sample. As far as I've seen, it drops the pitch (or raises) by adjusting the speed at which the sample is played back. So, the length of the adjusted sample is not the same as the length of the original.
wyd, are you talking about knobs within the NNXT sampler, when you expand the view?
Feb 14, 2005 06:21 pm yeah you gotta select the sample by clicking it, and those knobs will come to life...
