Hey All

I just seen Green Day on the Brit Awards last night and after a gap of around 8 years since I last saw em live I can say they still rock n kick *** for sure. 3 guys just kickin back and rockin oot...

I dunno what you guys think of the latest album as I dont keep abreast with politics unless its directly and I mean directly affecting me i.e. my tax goes up, blah blah and I dont keep up with US politics.

From what I hear of the latest offering, its a big Anti-Bush statement..but, good music with it. I guess it would depend where ye sit on the fence over there but from a musical and rock point of view, they still sound good to me.

I remember Dookie and Nimrod and its soo much like Green Day grew up and still kick ***. Good to see in these days of premade, plastic music. Sorry, I know some folk will dig that but I gotta say I like to see I guy screw a chord (as Tre did) and fk up a vocal line every now and then...keeps it real man.

Anyways..

Ahhhh I LOVE Green Day... and the new album is AMAZING. I didn't have high hopes for it since everything passed Nimrod was pretty much garbage but this album definitly rocks.

Agreeed....everything since Nimrod has been "not the best" to say the least!! Ha!

But, this is good stuff. I hear some adultness in the music..which I never heard before. I also notice Tre playing a Les Paul more these days. Some sounds in tehre like the old style Offspring (another band I seen many times and really liked before the commercial type stuff "Pretty Fly" an all that).

Aye..the good ol days are back with ROCK....

Coco.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious there has been a slow move full-circle back to just good ol' "rockin' out". I for one, love it.

Just FYI Coco... Tre is the drummer. Billie Joe is the guitarist.

Personally, its Green Day in the classic form only, more mature without being boring!!

I like the title track, 2 (which is the "rock opera" type track!!) and most tracks for that matter.

It just rocks out, catchy tunes and kick *** production. Reminds me of a heavier, american version of the Pistols but just not quite the same attitude...NO ONE could be the pistols. Drums are super rock solid and very cool sounding geetars. Play it in the car loud, ye'll hear the drums banging real good...

But raw, racious and kickass it is to me. I do like the satirical comments - its good to see a ROCK band actually ROCKIN tho I dont really know too much of the politics behind it and dont wanna get into the bs...just good to see "attitude" - as I say - its good (tho as I also said, not the pistols but they clearly take a big influence from Johnny Rotten and crew...very cool.

Aye - go buy it Forty...worth it for sure.
