looking for a nice set of cans...in the $100.00 price-range, mostly for tracking drums (to a click-track) and for recording vocals (with less leakage than the Koss cans i use now), and also maybe for some mixing...
here are my two options:
-Sony MDR-7506
-Sennheiser HD-280 Pro
i've read alot of reviews...and none can sell me...except my friend who owns his own studio has a set of of the Sennheisers..and they do the trick...but i was wondering if maybe the Sony's were better? The reviews just aren't very compelling for the arguement of one versus the other...

Feb 10, 2005 03:59 pm I have the 7506's. I love 'em. I broke my first pair of 7505's so I had to buy another set.

Feb 10, 2005 04:31 pm I have both , and they both are great and come from two good companies. Personaly I tend to use the Sennheiser HD-280 Pro's more an anything. They're very comfy and you can listen for hours.
Feb 10, 2005 04:38 pm so, the sennheisers are more comfortable? i also heard that the Sony's cups tend to wear very easily...im tending to lean more towards the Sennheisers...

Feb 10, 2005 04:49 pm The sony's are still good, I've had em for a few years now and they still rock. the HD-280 are my choice but you can't go wrong with either of em. I'd say do to a music store and check em both out.
