It's killing me! Browsing through the sale items in the recording bin at mf.com, I see a $10 gooseneck pop filter, a matched pair of MXL 993 condensors for $150, a 50-pack of CD-R for $10, a few pairs of cheap headphones. I even saw T-Racks and Amplitube in there with "call for price" stickers on them.

Must...resist...temptation...wife will kill me...kill...

No delivery? Doh! hehe, when I get one of their catalogs in the mail, its like getting a new porn mag or something. I pour over every page until the next issue arrives. I swear I could recite prices and descriptions for every piece of gear I've ever wanted. I live in Kansas City, MO, about 1.5 miles from their nearest distribution center so I pretty much get overnight delivery from them. I need to find their clearance center too, full of scratch and dent, refurbished and returned items. now THAT could be a huge timesink! Wifey would have to stay at home that day :-)

It's kinda funny, I used to be that way, going to music gear stores just to browse and drool, look at MF catalogs every day and dream...but I dunno why it changed, but it did. I don't have greatest studio in the world (as anyone looking at my profile can see), but I put out a decent product with it, and I'm happy with it...I just don't really shop any more...unless I have a specific need, and I haven't had a specific need for a long time...

My next countries to visit tho are England and Scotland. They are both cool, I know people there, and can easily expense them as business trips :)

yeah, then you claim it is a loss and deduct the operation loses from your taxes.

On the downside, I don't really buy much gear any more, so, well, my loss I guess...

I've traveled a lot...

1994 went to russia (Boyscouts - 1st Russian International Jamboree) and we got stuck in germany for 6 hours because there was a bomb on our plane :/

1999 went with the military to SHAPE in belgium... I like belgium..nice people and good food. Then spent 10 days in Paris ...the city was horrible, I don't see how people stand living there it's so dirty. dog crap everywhere, couldn't walk on the grass because of it. The subway was the first time I was afraid for my life while traveling...and that included when a guy tried to pickpocket me on the moscow subway... moscow was soooo much cleaner... the beggers were nicer too in russia. The first thing I saw in the paris subway was some guy peeing on the wall. The hostel though was really nice... Le Masion on Rue Dutot (sp?) I walked everywhere... until I had to take the train to the airport.

Last time I went to niagra I rode my mountain bike everywhere. Had lunch on the islands in the river before the falls which are really nice. Then on my way back a police cruiser follwed me for about a mile on the sidewalk... he freaken pulled off the road onto the trail and follwed me... I about died laughing.

I'm still a fan of gear , if anyone checks out my profile, they can tell . I've slowed dowen on getting new toys but I still love to see what's new and what can help make my music sound alittle better.

on traveling ; I was an army brat, so I moved all over the US and a few other places like Panama.

in 1999 I went to Germany for 4 months to aid Cosovo. I traveled all over Eroupe durrung that time.
in 2001 I spent 6 months in Saudi Arabia .
2002 , Karshi Kanabad Uzbekistan ,Turkey
2002 , Jacobabad Packistan
2003 , Tallil Iraq ,Rota Spain
present Al Udied Quatar ,Balad Iraq

I really need to talk to my travel agent.

My brother almost got into trouble trying to get into canada. He has a alcohol arrest on his record, and when crossing into canada, they asked if he'd ever been arrested for an alcohol offense. Turns out if you do have one, you can't get into canada legally. They consider it a felony if you try to get in and are caught (the first time they warn you, but I guess not the second time).

doh..... don't need to hear about any new MF sales. I have bought enough from them lately for a few years atleast now I think. ;) Have to pay off the credit card before I can look at sales again is my new rule. lol :)

As for Canada, haven't been there in a long time. Haven't been there since the big security hype thing actually... *shrugs* Will have to go again sometime though.
