Hi all,
I just wanted take a second and give a "plug" for a brand new plugin for Pro Tools we are bring to market this month (Feb 05). It is called Source Connect and it is a way of recording with other studios around the world using only your broadband internet connection. I have cable at my home in Chicago (240kbs up 2Mg down) and was talking with Russia yesterday morning. It really sounds amazing. Check it out at www.source-elements.com

Feb 05, 2005 03:01 pm I prefer manufacturers not use the forum to pormote their wares then disappear from the community until their next product release, that is not what the forum is for.
I would doubt there is a VST as ProTools people like to think they rise above conventional standards and make their own.
Feb 05, 2005 03:14 pm Sorry about the post, I just thought you all would be interested. VST is a possibility, the hard work has been done.
Feb 05, 2005 03:16 pm Not a big deal, and I am sure the PT users around here are interested or I would have deleted the post, I just prefer using my site as a platform for manufacturers to market their products go thru the proper channels...like....uuuuuummmm...me :-)

We do that here...via MP3 and a few posts on a forum!! Hell, I recorded a 24 track song with artists from all over the USA, England, here in Scotland and it cost me sweet fa!!
Think I could patent this, create my own system called "Cocovision" and market it for $5000 ! hehehe.
Just a wee pokey bit of fun...it does sound cool tho it would need decent connections all round I'd guess. Nah, "Cocovision" is the future...with a wee bit of email, a few MP3's and a lorra love!! Yeh man...the mad scotsman has patented it right here.
hehehe

P.S. There was a point to this post, I just lost it in the madness.
