The Tascam US-122 audio interface sounds like it's got everything I want. It also comes bundled now with Cubase LE, which sounds like it'll do what I want as well. Anybody got any comments on this unit (or this application)?

Feb 11, 2005 12:26 am Whoa! That's quite a unit. It's also about 5 times what I paid for the US-122, which is more in my budget. I would have liked a firewire interface, but they're so much more expensive than the ones using USB. I'm figuring the direct-monitor-out feature of the 122 will bypass any latency problems with the slower USB. I'm a solo synth dude laying down (so far audio) tracks one at a time (resulting in stuff like www.soundclick.com/donchambers ), so I don't need a lot of ins and outs. Looking forward to getting the just-purchased US-122 and wading into the world of midi....
Thanks for the good word. I just checked out the studio described in your profile. Makes my little setup look like a few tin cans on a card table.
