Aardvark Direct Pro Q-10 Driver Stability

Hello-
I've been using (2) Aardvark Q-10's on my WinXP
system with Steinberg Qubase-SX H20 for a few months and my system "hangs", between 2 to 6 times in a couple of hours..(other than that, they work fine.)
Sometimes I have to hard re-boot, sometimes I can restart the Aardvark services in WinXP...
Anyway, I've seen some talk on the web that Aardvark never got their drivers to avoid "hanging" with the Q-10's, and wondered if this has been your experience, or if you know of anyone who has similar or (no problems) with the Q10 drivers stability.
I'm using Driver Ver-7.13 and DSP Ver.7.20
It may be (and I hope it is..) that I need to make further adjustments in the control panel settings..Has anyone experienced crashes or "hanging" from incorrect latency adjustments, or other parameters?
Anyone who is running the Q-10's with no problems
would be GREAT to hear from...(I'm hoping its not the case that Aardvark never got their drivers for the Q-10 working well before they closed.!)
Thanks , hope to hear some feedback...cheers

Welcome to HRC!!

Your problem is most likely illegal software with the Cubase. H2O is the name of the guy/group that distributes illegal software. They even change the way the install process looks to make it look like like a different version, but it's not.

I had a friend *cough* that tried using H2O products before and had it lock up all the time on him or just not work right.

Wow, never heard of the H20 group. Then again, I haven't paid that scene much mind in the last few years...back when I did it was all Oxygen and Radium.

Anyway, there are several Aadrvark users here, and one of them actually started an Aardvark user group at his site, though I can't remember the URL. Perhaps he will see this thread and stop in to help.

here ya go...i've noticed with mine (with Sonar) i need to change the buffer size depending on how many audio tracks i'm workin' with....like for MIDI stuff i can run a small buffer, say 64Mb and for twenty channels of audio i gotta kick it up to 256Mb.

good luck

Yea Matt, I have that Aardvark hanging problem with my XP/Q10 combo. quite regurarly. I have no idea how to fix it since I am not a "computer whizz", but if you do come across anything that helps stop it give me a yell man.

I've often had crashes due to newer drivers so I switched to the older ones and everything cleared up. I'll check the version when I get home and post the version.
