I don't use any Macs, but I must say that their new box is sa-weet looking ! I figure with the memory upgrade and the right outboard sc, this thing could be a virtual 'pocket-rocket' of a DAW... it's sooo tiny !

It is a wee bit 'O kit, no ? With a 1.42somehting processor, 1G ram, and an 80-gig hardrive, it comes to $699 . Hmmmm... I think I maybe being a sucker for their design... it would be a leap of faith to say the least, as I know nothing of how one of these things would perform . They're just so, so... sexy ! lol

is called the megahertz myth, is how a processor works and why mghz means nothing, it all as to do with the pipeline of the processor and how much actual work it does per second.

I have worked with the mini, and for tracking a few tracks at a time the thing is solid. with garageband 2 out with the ability to record 8 tracks at a time and a loop editor and a notation editor for midi, is pretty cool. and as a free upgrade basically when you buy the mini it is really cool.
