wsup yall.. i have a mxl 2006 condenser mic and the onstage micstands are cheap but seem to hold good weight. and i don't really plan on spending $100 dollars on a mic stand that is made for studio mics.. .i just dont want to waste money on an expensive mic stand that is pretty much like a cheaper one. im thinking of getting an MIS-20 Boom Stand for $25 .. any one have any better suggestions?
thanks yall

Jan 11, 2005 05:25 am Atlas stands gets my vote... and their booms are actually wieghted, not just 'looking' wieghted with a plastic thing on the end . Solid product .

Jan 11, 2005 02:45 pm When I first bought my mic stand, I had my condensor mic hooked up to the tip of the arm of the mic stand, with a counterweight on the other side to prevent the stand from falling over, lol. Little did I know, that all I had to do was remove the arm from the stand completely and attach the condensor to the neck of the stand where the arm was once attached.
