Monitor mix question

I have been using a Behringer Eurorack UB1002 Mixer, with my M-Audio Delta 44, for awhile now. I have been using the control room/headphones section to for a headphones mix by routing a headphones bus to channels 3 & 4. This has been working great, but I just bought a set of the Behinger B2031A Truth Active Monitors, and thy do not have a volume control. They are plugged into the delta 1 & 2 outs. I must use the soundcard output faders via Sonar to adjust volume levels so it is not deafening. The logical thing is to use my controlroom/headphones section on my mixer to control volume, but then I lose my ability to get a headphone mix.

My question is this, is there a different mixer in a realativly affordable price range that will allow me to use a seperat controlroom mix and a seperate headphones mix? Or would I be better off investing in a headphones mixer?

there should be a headphone 1/4 jack as well as the control room left and right jack..
at least on my mixer there is..

but i think u might be better off connecting the monitors to ur delta, since you probably use that as play back as well...

Yep, the UB1002 has a control room outputs that share the same control as the headphone output. If the mixer is doing a good job for you and you just need more control over headphones there are several low priced headphone amps out there that will work great for you. Most of the larger format Behringers have seperate out put sections for control room and headphones, so you might look into it for the future.

Sadly, this is the reason I'm having the issue. The monitors are directly attached to my Delta. The lack of volume control outside of Sonar is a bit annoying. Have to remember to change the projects volume in order not to get my ears blasted.

After doing some research I have decided to purchase a PreSonus HP4 Discrete 4-Channel Headphone Amp. It will also allow me to control my monitors volume at the same time.

pilthyone, that is the one I was gonna send ya to. It seems to be reasonably priced and had as you said control for both HP and moniter sectioin.

Otherwise ProCo has a really cheap one as well.
