VS880 VXpanded CD Burning Probs

Howdy,

I've used my VS880 for years without problems. Recently let a buddy borrow it, got it back and for some reason can't get my burner to record a cd. It acts like it's going through the motions. The screen accepts my request to record the disk at once, copyrights, track no.s, etc...converts completely then records to cdr. The Burner tray even opens like normal when the process is completed and the VS880 asks if I'd like to burn another (which i tried). But when I drop the cd in a player or computer....NOTHING. In fact, the CD is blank (unformatted). Nothing was burnt to it at all. My computer even asks if I'd like to format the disk.

Am I missing something? I chose the correct sample rate 44. I've tried everything that I can think of and am getting frustrated.

PLEASE HELP!!!! I BEG OF YOU!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
