The Fine Line, a very cool venue in downtown Minneapolis, used to have open mic nights, but that burned a while ago from a pyrotechnic gone awry, they opened it back up, and I haven't been there since...but I presume they still do, not sure about other places, I'll look around though, or at least keep it in mind as I hop around in the future.
