Hey guys,

I recently purchased a M Audio Firewire 1814 which is beautiful. Im running my microphones through a behringer ub2442fx pro. Im using four microphones to mic the drums. Its a 5 peice set.

Im using a mxl 990 overhead for the ride/low tom crash side. a mxl 991 overheadfor the other side (other crash, high hat and a little snare/ambience)

The mics go into the mixer, into the firewire1814 and into my laptop. I record the drums and set a long time setting them up but they still clip and produce this horrific tone when playing low tom and bass drum. I used the faders on the computer for the1814. Is this where I should adjust levels?

Its just clippin like a catmobile and I dont know what to do. Adjust a tad on the mixer? i duno.

Please help Asap :)

adjust levels on the behringer mixer. the faders in the m-audio mixer on your computer are for monitoring (for headphone/control room mixes).
