Ok, so I'm sitting here reading threads when all of a sudden my left speaker starts going "pffff... pffff" for about a second at 3 second intervals... any idea? It's been doing it about a minute now.

my speakers do that too... I dunno what it is... I just kinda got used to it. I think it's something about the electric pollution, since I've got 2 comps, mixing board, effects, amps, and stuff in here, but that's just a guess

I have noticed that certain driver types (typically MME drivers) make speakers "fart" under Windows ME or Windows XP. Less in XP, but it's still there...

Db, Really now? Well I'm using Win XP so tht may be my problem. Another thing though is when I turn off my board, since it's powered, the speakers pop a few seconds after the board is turned off, even if I turn all the signals down before powering down...

i get a pop pop pop sounds from my computer speakers that i have hooked up to my soundblaster every now and then. i've determined that it's from my brother's nextel cellphone. he lives in he next house over, and everytime he makes a call i get the sound. some other electronic musician's online have asked if anyone could sample that sound so they could use it in their compositions.

and that pop you get when you turn off your amp is just the capacitor emptying. its normal.
