Is this enough?

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of setting up a basic home studio of sorts, and was wondering if the following will be suffcient for basic midi/audio recording/production.

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI...me=STRK:MEWN:IT (Computer DAW, with bundled soft synths and sequencers)

Edirol PCR50 midi controller

UA-20 Audio Capture USB Audio/MIDI Interface

I realize that this "studio" is nothing elaborate, but is it enough to get by at first?

Thank you,

Scott

So, as I had pointed out in your first post, it depends on what you want to record. If you want to just stay in the midi realm, then it's plenty, and from what I can gather, you probably don't need the UA-20 Audio capture thingy. However if you want to record any instruments or vocals you will need a mic and preamp, and maybe upgrade the soundcard (though not necessarily.

Thanks coolo,

I'm sorry if the question sounded a bit redundant. I just want to make sure that I don't neccessarily buy anything that I don't need. I suppose spending oodles of money on something so seemingly foreign to me, scares me a bit. Thanks again for your help.
