Dec 08, 2004 02:18 pm awesome sound quality you have there. Do you credit the souncard for that?
Good songs! Everything sounds mixed very well!
Dec 10, 2004 01:22 pm This was recorded using the good old delta 44 from M-audio, and Sonar 3.1
Thanks for the comments and compliment. It's nice to have a place to do a reality check on this sort of thing.

Dec 10, 2004 02:07 pm Your song is solid...it sounds really good. the mix is great...I like the fade out at the end...it sucks that I am commenting on the part of the song that makes it disappear but no one really fades anymore...
Good, good stuff...
Dec 10, 2004 10:49 pm I have now listened to this several times, and I must say that I am impressed on every level. The strongest part is probably the vocals...very tight. My least favorite is the acoustic guitar...I think it would sound better mic'ed as opposed to running it direct. Just my preference.
Overall, very nice piece of work. All of t\your songs that I have listened to go very well together.
Keep makin' great music!

Dec 11, 2004 01:38 am Very nice song and mix. I agree with Jim on the acoustic, but I think just some different EQ could probably do the trick, it's a little too metallic sounding, warm it up some and I think it would be fine.
Really nice work, with very good vocals.

Dec 11, 2004 01:40 pm Again thanks alot for the comments . I have ordered a set of pencil condencer mics. Once I get them, ALL the acoustic tracks in all our songs will be rerecorded using them. Borrowed a set from a friend last week to test and it was truly an amazing difference.
Again thanks to everyone for the nice compliments as well.

Dec 18, 2004 10:20 am I love fades, it adds something to the music I believe. I must agree the song is very well done. I will also agree with the others OD and Jim on the guitar needing a bit of something. Otherwise, excellant effort.

Dec 19, 2004 09:45 pm Great song. The vocals are strong and very well done. The direct acoustic is very distracting, it'll be good to hear this with a mic'd acoustic guitar.
The vocals get lost a time or two. I think the synth buries the vocals at the end of the choruses.
The electric guitar solo part also gets totally lost...I can barely hear it throughout the mix. There is at least a time or two where it needs to come out, otherwise I understand the kind of ambient place it has in the arrangement.
Good job, this has lots of potential for a hit.
