Dec 02, 2004 09:08 am I don't know About the drum machine's
But you I do Know a-lot of modern day " beats" are not from a standard drum machine
they're made by for example dropping a Big book on the floor and EQ phase, whatever you can think of is done to it till it's like a very nice BOOM or a very subtle Snare or something
So something you might wanna consider is a Software drum machine along the lines of
battery <sp?>
Fruity Loops
Velocity
in which you would be able to use your own made samples as to be completely original as no-one else has got your sound
Something to thing about
Greets
Presley

Dec 02, 2004 05:07 pm MPC is pretty much a unique product as far as I know. It is a sampler that you can control by hitting pads. Pretty fun stuff. However, you can make tight beats using almost anything. I prefer software personally. I think you may want to try a couple different methods out (hit up your local music store, software demos) and see what suits you best. I mean, supposedly ninth wonder uses fruity loops...

Dec 02, 2004 06:02 pm I saw you post somewhere saying you like Reason over fruity loops. The ReDrum drum computer in Reason works almost exactly like the drum machines I've seen, except you press buttons on a real drum machine, and click with the mouse in Reason. Otherwise, very, very, similar. Plus Reason comes with hella drum samples to use.
Dec 02, 2004 06:16 pm ya reason kick *** you know i don't think my problem is finding a drum machine after all i think i dont know how to use one is there tutorials somewhere on the net?
Dec 02, 2004 06:18 pm drum loops are nice and simple but there's only so much you can do with them i dont want the same drum pattern threwout the song you know what i mean
