Hey Jim, I kinda feel weird starting a thread about somebody else's song, but I didn't want to hijack the Save The Music thread.
Great song, man. Simple and to the point. Very nice fingerpicking and nice full acoustic sound. The length is just right, and the performance is right on, especially the guitar.
I'd back off on the compression a bit on the guitar, just to get rid of the slight pumping I hear every once in a while, and maybe find a warmer reverb for it. That acoustic has such a nice sound, it'd be nice to hear it snuggled up in a warm room, wearing a nice reverb like a blanket :)

I made several different attempts at editing and mixing the song. I never did quite get the sound I was after. I will keep trying, as per your much appreciated advice!

Its a well orchestrated and arranged song and the words compliment the tune well - I guess, your trademark...quality crafted songs.
If you could somehow kill a little of the fret noise it would be a damn near perfect take and thats just a real small criticisim as there is nothing to really critise in this song. Then again, I quite like that fret noise myself - some dont - But I do so - sodd it, just leave it as is...very nice song.
