Omnistudio USB headache

Just got an Omnistudio. Installed the driver on a Powerbook g4. Plugged in interface, plugged guitar amp out to interface (mic/instrument in #1 on front panel). Omnistudio indicates input signal, but nothing is transferring to computer, and no sound is registering through the front panel headphone monitor jack. Have torn the user manual apart front to back, still can't figure it out... help!!!! Any simple troubleshooting suggestions, or do I have a bad unit?

Did you make the changes to your recording software to use OmniStudio rather than your computer's soundcard?

Thanks, lawman... I have the soundcard set properly; I think it may be a software problem. Am going to try others....

Hey Racket, were you able to solve this problem? If yes then please help me out. I'm having the exact same problem. Difference is that I'm using Windows XP. My hardware specs are more than sufficient with 1024 MB of RAM and a 2.4 Celeron. Loads of space in the hard disk so no problems there. Running my guitar through a Line 6 pod. I'm using cakewalk pro audio 9 to record. I'm also thinking its a problem with the recording software and am planning to install Sonar 4.

Glad to see that I'm not the first person with this problem. But not glad to see that I'm not nearly the last. Found at least 4 posters with the same problem. Help!
