does anybody have any recommendations on what brand or type of stage snake to use for recordings....im talking about 100 ft. 16 channel XLR stage snake...but for recording...any idea?

they're all going to be really expensive. even if you build one yourself, it is still hundreds of dollars.
Oct 30, 2004 03:38 pm Yeah i agree, they aren't that cheap and bulky. I do some freelance A/V work and even the 25' snakes are bulky as heck. A 100' snake will be big coiled up, and need a fairly large case.

That said I had a 150 footer made by horizon that worked very well.

Oct 31, 2004 01:31 am Click the Musicians Friend link and just search out snake. They carry only the good ones. So any brand they have will be as good as the others.

Oct 31, 2004 01:58 am hey what do you know? searching for 'snake' allowed me to find a cheap 8 channel 1/4" TRS snake that will work a lot better than the mishmash i've been using. bought it through the HRC link too, so right on all around. thanks noize.
