Hi,

I've been shopping around for a soundcard lately and I decided to go with either the M-Audio Delata 66 or Delta 44. I want the six channels that the Delta 66 offers, but I'm not sure if my mixer has digital outs. I have a Behringer UB2442FX-PRO mixer. I'm new to home recording so I can't tell if the mixer does indead have digital outs. If anyone can offer a suggestion to point me in the right direction it would be awesome.

Thanks,

Mike

I am not positive, but I strongly believe that the Behringer will not be able to use the S/PDIF's on the 66 at all.

I would say the Delta 1010LT might be the better choice for you. service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

Yes, dB is right !... and I understand how you could've been confused by the whole digital thing... Berry puts some kind of advert ON the mixer to be used for 24/96 recording poipuses... there are no digital outs . The 1010LT will give you the interface you're looking for... great for the direct-outs of that UB .

Incedently, Alesis has some analogue mixer with a usb out, now... weird .

Thanks a lot guys, I was pretty sure that it wasn't going to be worth the extra cash for the Delta 66 because of the limitations on my mixer.

Thanks again,

you should really look at the 1010lt (or the 1010) db was talking about. it is a perfect match to the behringer's 8 direct outs. I've been using the 1010 for a while and i LOVE it with the 2442.

i uactually use the s/pdif out to send the stereo mix to my monitors. works well without having to use the analog outs.
