computer pt 2...

so i got my PC fixed at a store. the guy says i need to back up all my stuff on my second harddrive. I dont understand how doing this to a drive in the same computer will help it when the problem starts to happen again? ALSO- how do i back all these files up? is there a short cut way?

Backing up your data won't stop problems from happening, what it will do is ensure that if/when you do have problems again all you important data isn't trashed if the drive needs reformatting.

All you do to backup is copy your important data to the second drive in Windows explorer or something like that...
