I'm having problems on what to get for my studio.
I'm recording just rap, and want to put out radio quality material. I have a mxl 2001 mic and a boss br-52. i'm thinking of uprading to the items below, but i don't know if they'll give me what i need. any suggestions will be appreciated.

1. Roland vs 2480 dvd. or digidesign 002
2. korg triton studio keyboard
3. Akai Mpc 4000
4. Blue kiwi microphone

I don't know what computer,compressor/gate, mic pre to get

This JayDottComm..Yo I have the MBox...Digidesign is incredible. I would get the Motif way before a Triton Studio...Newer sounds better more realistic drums. Blue mic, cant go wrong with that. I personaly think the Mpc4000 is overkill...I like the MPC2000xl alot better. Ease of use and doesnt glitch up as much...I make my claims from previous employement at the Guitar Center..We had a gang of Returns on the 4000..and sold ten times the motif over the triton..Those sounds are just old..its in the same season as the Roland XP60

Why don't you keep all this conversation in one thread? You have asked this like 3 or 4 times...it's getting annoying.

the digii002 is nice! Get a vacuum tube channel strip with eq, compressor all in one made by Avalon called the vt737-sp. Motif keyboards are the best.
