Im using Cubase right now and I believe it keeps virtual tracks. What I need to know is if every time I redo a track, is it saving that old .wav file on my computer and taking up alot of space?

You can set it up in the preferance's to dump the old take each time you record a new one to the same track. I know Sonar has it and I am pretty sure Cubase does too. Other wise, just go and delete the track before yo start a new one.
