Ok we are almost completely done with the new studio, I freakin excited (keeping it clean for the kids)we had to have talked with close to 50 different people on whats the best way to soundproof the walls and ceiling. We went with the blow in insulation known as cellulose. We blew it in and packed it good. after we were done we went upstairs and yelled at the top of our lungs and could hear nothing, we started banging on my snare drum and it sounded like a faint whisper. we managed to do a 12 X 12 and a 10 X 12 room all for aboout 250.00 money well spent if you ask me.

Wow. I'm gonna have to keep that product in mind for future jobs I may have here at the office. That could some to use in some mechanical equipment rooms near offices and such. Glad to hear (or not hear.. HAHAHAH) that everything is working out for ya!

That's handy knowledge to know. One question.... How high is the ceiling in the rooms?

Idiot.

Congratulations! That is no small feat!

I found the best way to tune a room: 300 or so people! I went and rang out church last night where we will be using the alter as a stage for recording. The area is huge but the critical distance with the seating area empty is tiny! One huge echo / resonance chamber!. I know filled to capacity the accoustics are great, but empty...Yuch!
