Hi Folks
Am looking for some samples for a song I have in the pipeline.
I really dont want to get into buying CD's full of samples - I only need a couple of things. I am after a helicopter flying and a couple of planes..to get a kinda whooooooshhhh which I wanna pan from left to right to get the fly by effect.
I checked some of the links here at HRC but most of the free ones are now payin jobs and one of em (when I was on) passed me a free trojan! I need to check which site it was and let y'all know.
Anyways, if anyone can help me oot I'd be most greatful. I do have some samples here but nae planes etc.
Cheers guys.
Coco.

Aug 22, 2004 07:37 pm PowerFX is pretty reasonable for sample one-offs thru their portal, and they are top quality, maybe check those...

RE: The Trojan!! GRRRRRRRRRR - I hate these ejits that sit and program these things. If I EVER get ma hands on the wee geek who wrote the damn thing (or BIG geek - I dinny care) I will personally take the problematic PC and shuve it where the son dont shine...GRRRRRR. Getts....!

Aug 23, 2004 07:15 am Coco...do you use IE to surf? Is that where you got the trojan? Start using Mozilla and trojans are far less likely to infect you...
Aug 23, 2004 08:03 am Indeed I do DB...I tried Mozilla a wee while back but I didny like it.
However, IE gets me nowt but damn trojans...think I will take yer advice and give it a try...where can I nab the latest version DB - any idea?
Cheers buddy.

Aug 23, 2004 08:17 am Ya, www.mozilla.org usually works ;-)
I didn't like it before either, I started using it a few days ago and have grown to love it already. The addon extensions are awesome, the "web developer" toolbar extension is priceless...hugely cool for developing tools and such. Plus, it's much easier to develop for Mozilla then make IE fixes rather than the other way around.
In addition, there are tools to import all your cookies (most anyway), bookmarks and all that crap quickly and easily...Thunderbird is a free email client and has much of the same benefits of extensions and importing tool...
Aug 23, 2004 07:06 pm Nice one DB..its doonloadin as we speak...
Ill try it and see how I go.
