Metronome in n-Track

I cannot get the metronome to work in n-Track. Ideally, I want to record my guitar part and while recording listen to the metronome in my headphones. However, I cannot get the metronome to play while in record mode. Oddly, when not recording the metronome works.

I have used the metronome before when recording on someone else's computer but for some reason I cannot figure it out at home. I did check-mark 'Metronome on Recording' but still no luck.

Lastly, I am using an older version of n-Track. 2.1 I believe.

Sorry for the vague descriptions of the menus - but I do not have the program in front of me at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On another note - anyone ever miced a djembe? How did you mic it for optimal sound?
