Guess what? We are opening up for MercyMe this October (first weekend). I won't get into how because it's a long story and I'll get into it later if anyone wants to hear. Anyway, this is a opportunity that most popular Christian bands don't even get. Even though we are a Praise and Worship band, we actually have a hardness to our style. Now, there is no time to finish our CD, so we are doing a EP. We need something to sell/give when we perform in front of thousands of people. But mastering is not my friend and I don't have the experience to truely get a great product out of it. So, I need a mastering engineer. Otherwords, suggestions on where to go. Look under my profile at what type of music and sort of what I can do (listen to Rain Down under Rock). I will talk about this more but I'm on my buddy's PC! Give input on what direction to go. Thanks for everything.

OK, vdale. First thing I will let ya know is it is maxxed out way to high on the mp3 file I downloaded from here. Te got it ready for mastering you will want to bring your output from the mix down so that it peaks out about -3 dB or there abouts. The mastering tech will take care of getting the loudness maxxed out. I loaded the mp3 mix up and it is peaking way to much. As I listen it sound like everything is mixxed very well, and all sits pretty tight in the mix. It just appears to have been pushed to the max a bit too much. I will give it a better listen tommorrow late after noon and post back here. As the tune moves along it has some spots that seem not so maxxed out but I will take a better look as I said. As it is I think it is pretty workable as long as the copy that comes for mastering is brought down level wise a bit.

And by the way, exellant tune. I listened about 15 time tonight and was liking it very much and am curious to hear more.

Thanks!

Yeah, I tried mastering some on that on my own. Believe me, that one volume level was pushed up to get a high volume out.

I was actually going to talk to db about this, see if he would love to do it. Hey db, what about 5 songs sort of like "Rain Down"? I'll hopefully won't be too busy today and be able to get in the chatroom or something.
