i have the delta1010LT...and when i open windows media player, or any audio player device of some sort a terrible clicking comes out of the outputs on my card...the only way i can ever get it to stop is by opening Cubase SX...meaning as soon as i open the program the clicking stops...but never stops unless i open it...itll go on for days...i tried messing with the m-audio control panel and i change it from internal clock to word clock and it stops...and just hisses really loud...i tried calling m-audio...e-mailing..etc...no one can help me...they wont return calls, they wont put me through to a real person....wont return emails...anyone have this problem/know how to fix it?

install the latest driver and check if the configuration of your windows sounds are ok.

Well, I have to say, I have been hearing WAY too many reports of bad or non-existant support from M-Audio lately...this troubles me...fortunately I have never needed it myself, but to not return calls or respond to email is just wrong. My loyalty to M-Audio is beginning to grow thin...tho I still love my Audiophile 2496.

OK, I will get off nt soapbox and actually try to help...

As stated by Bruno, go into your Windows control panel for the audio and video prefs and make sure your Delta is selected rather than the ol' "Microsoft Mapper", as standard advice which Bruno beat me to, make sure you have the latest drivers...let's start with that...

Lost for words with all to say.

Yeah, not to add to the "soap" but the tech guy wasn't too friendly. More like a "why do you call me" kind of thing, it's tech support line for crying out loud. Oh yeah, emailed them also the day before, took 3 days for a response, guess that's a good time frame?? But, I absolutly love my Delta 1010, just don't like the way their control panel really doesn't have that much control as you would think. Other then that little tiny problem, it does excellent.

Anyway, back on topic.

This is on m-audio's website containing to the Delta 1010. This has many suggestions as to what the problem is.
