From this list, I like Bad Martini. Here's why. It is a recognizable noun used in an unusual way. That will stick with people's memories long after they see it, as opposed to this: "what was the name of that band... box something? boxhat? boxtie?"

Also, aside from it being more useful as a mnemonic device, I just like the name better, and seeing "Bad Martini" on a bar sign will make passerbys smile when they see it.

"Three words for ya:

That reminded me of Sonic Death Monkey.

"Boxcar racer" is a popular Blink 182 side project with their drummer.. all the kids call it "boxcar" for short

Before reading other replies, i immediately went for BAD MARTINI too. It's just got something about it man.

I wouldnt go for BOXCAR, coz people might think you're an REM cover band... (well, big fans of REM like mne, anyway..)

A couple more totally random ideas from my morning brain:

CHASING SHACKLES
CURBIS STONESIDE
SEVERANCE PAY
T.K. LOUNGE
A GUIT NAMED BEN

Definitely Bad Martini. It would attract me, and I would go see you as long as it wasn't more than $5.00 cover.

coco, I am senseing a trend here. Seems as though Bad Martini is winning by a landslide.

Oh ya, and on the Rabid Demon Monkey, that is the name Tuna came up with while he was reading this thread. I kinda chuckled but put it up anyway.

But you do know that the guys who were Bob Dylans back up band eventually called themselves The Band and were extremely famous in that era. When they decided to retire in the seventies, about twenty big name artists including Dylan, Clapton, and others at that hieght of fame decided to hold a huge goodby party for the band. An independant flimaker of the day decided to make a documentary about it, and it eventually become the movie The Last Waltz. It was held in a theatre that was scheduled to be destroyed after they played that last show.

Anyway, the name came about because while playing behind Dylan they were always refered to as the band and decided to stick with it.

Enough ramblin now.

using "badmartinimusic" would be an advantage because you have the keyword of "music" in the domain..."online" would be worthless...in my opinion.

If you're going solo, why not the Flaming Coco Brothers or something like that. or Coco's Quartet. But Rabid Demon Monkey is hard to beat.

Thanks, Coco. I am still more strongly leaning toward nothing, and just calling the CD "Volume 01", as long as the jacket give me full copyright by name, it's all good.
