Some of you may remember me, the new kid who is diving face first into recording..... oh wait, theres like 3000 of us here.
my equiptment is an M-Box w/ Pro Tools software.
anyway, onto questions.
i just bought a mixer. Eurorack UB1204FX-PRO.
I also bought the new PodXT for my guitar.
Im just not sure how to connect all this ****.
The Pod connects to the mixer i believe, and i thought the guitar was already plugged into the pod. Then perhaps the mixer connects to a imput on the M-Box?
What if I wanted to use an amp?
Im very confused, thank you for your help!

Jul 28, 2004 12:44 am hmmm..... the mixer main outs would go to a right-left of the soundcard. Just be careful that the "control room" outs on the back of that board are not balanced, I had to call Behringer about that the other day, as its not stated in the manual. You dont really have to run the pod thru the mixer either, just take it straight into the sound card, digital or analogue. The less in your signal chain, the better. I ran My J Station with good results like that for a long time. If you use the digital part, you will bypass the a/d converters, and thats better. The mixer could be used for miked sources, however many inputs.

If you want to make things easier on yourself, at least starting out, you can run the pod thru the mixer. That way, the mixer will plug in to the Mbox, then all instruments, whether a miced amp, the POD, a DI box for bass, vocal mic or whatever will all run thru the mixer to get in to the sound card. It may or may not make it easier for you, just another option. I have never used the Mbox, so I can't speak in great detail about it.
