www.HomeGrownVinyl.com/ is a just new website. I have been helping them work out the kinks and such. They are going to do ultimately house your music and allow you to sell your music online to split the profits and they have lots of cool idea's in their plan.
They are preparing to launch their radio station as well. If you want to get your music on the playlist, go there and open up an account and upload some music.

Jul 26, 2004 04:55 am ace, thanks for the heads up deebs!
Jul 26, 2004 06:23 am I've opened a wee account there DB. Seems like a top idea and when they sort oot the wee quirks it should be good.
I tried to upload some MP3's but it didnt state what format they should be and failed on me. I think I'll try again - maybe some error on my encoding (I maybe done em too high).
Cheers
Coco.

yikes. That gives them a lot of leeway with anything that is uploaded. Not sure I'm comfortable with that. I can see lots of unfavorable scenarios.

Jul 26, 2004 12:08 pm But, with that being said, it seems cooler than some of the other services that sell your music, that we've seen out there. No sign up fees (as far as I can see).
Jul 26, 2004 12:17 pm Yeah, they can use your stuff for promotional purposes for their site, you retain all rights however, which is the most important part.
Perhaps inquire about that statement at their forums (others have) and they may loosen up, but considering what they are trying to do, and the meager fees they are charging (only when music is sold) I think it may be worthy.

Jul 26, 2004 07:30 pm Yeah, I asked them about that, and they said it was just for the site . It does sound evil, dud'nit ?
