'field' looks cool. it looks like you can mix impulse files in different combinations? is that possible?

yea, 'field' was my favorite. the quality of the ambient sounds were really clear. I like to listen to those and then adjust the eq's of my tracks to sound somewhat close to those.

can you describe how field works, bizzel? is it impulse files for reverbs? or is it recorded, looped ambiences?

I'm not sure what an impulse file is. But I'm pretty sure they are recorded looped ambiences. I think they were created and mastered professionally because the quality is outstanding. I recommend downloading and giving it a try. I don't think you will be dissappointed.

ok, will do.

impulse files i'm not totally clear on yet either. but some of those reverb programs use them. you make a basic recording of a sound in the echoey location of your choice and then the program examines the reverb characteristics and creates an impulse file which it can then use to apply the characteristics of your room to other sounds.

i've never used one of these things before but always thought they must be cool.
