only kidding! check out tweakbench ( www.tweakbench.com ) , they got some awesome off the wall insurments and sounds, im diggin this loads. theyve got a NES vsti, which is cool, and a nintendo sampling drum machine...
well worth a look people...

Jul 20, 2004 02:49 am yea, 'field' was my favorite. the quality of the ambient sounds were really clear. I like to listen to those and then adjust the eq's of my tracks to sound somewhat close to those.

Jul 20, 2004 12:27 pm I'm not sure what an impulse file is. But I'm pretty sure they are recorded looped ambiences. I think they were created and mastered professionally because the quality is outstanding. I recommend downloading and giving it a try. I don't think you will be dissappointed.

impulse files i'm not totally clear on yet either. but some of those reverb programs use them. you make a basic recording of a sound in the echoey location of your choice and then the program examines the reverb characteristics and creates an impulse file which it can then use to apply the characteristics of your room to other sounds.
i've never used one of these things before but always thought they must be cool.
