What basic gear will I need to do audio skits on my computer? I want to do all recording and editing on my computer...Any suggestions on gear?
Also, if anyone could tell me how to purchase songs without the lyrics (to record spoofs) that would be gravy.

Jul 13, 2004 12:45 am hmmm.....songs without lyrics... do a google search.
For the pc, the Delta 2496 sound card which almost everyone here uses, (except me, I use a commodore 64 sc) and a good mic. MXL, Behringer,Studio Projects, there is a ton of affordable mics out there that sound real good.
Jul 13, 2004 02:42 pm you should probably try buying karoake tracks. google search for something like karaoke song purchase
Jul 13, 2004 08:49 pm I thought of that but wasn't sure if the songs on the karoake CD's could be ripped to mp3, as a few of them I looked at were a different format than just regular old CD...they were like CD+g and I have no idea what that is.
Jul 13, 2004 09:21 pm not sure but I think that different format is a format that includes the lyric subtitles in the encoding.
