What is the best standalone CD burner / duplicator available?

Does anyone have an opinion about the best standalone (non-computer based) CD burner/duplicator out there under $500? I have read a little about standalone units and like the idea of not worrying about the instability of a computer to burn quick CD's. I have seen burners that offer "2 CD's burned at a time" and that fits what I need. Which ones are better? Which ones should I avoid?
