Jun 15, 2004 12:23 am I would say, I kinda like the lyrics. The opening guitar riff reminded me of play that funky music white boy. It seems that some of the guitar playing is slightly off beat. The singing is generally serviceable, but there is one little run that was pretty off by my ears (the word head in the second line). I like when you start adding more parts to the mix here and there. Maybe a bit much reverb on the vocals for my taste. The bass sounds pretty good. In the chorus the guitars and the vocals seem to be competing with each other. I would try eqing those parts. The guitar tone seems to be a little thin when it's not the chorus. Maybe some doubling up would help. I think the drums sound good (like the snare). On a composition note, the piece seems like it could use some more energy throughout (sorry I don't have any ideas here) to keep the listener engrossed. I think you have a good start here. Keep working on it.
By the way, you use the avatar I used to use before I got to add my own when I went pro. So props for that.
