wow what a mess you got!
My brother has the 2480 with lots of extra doo-dads, and they recently released a card that supports 4 different software proggys. Im not sure what your unit is, is it like the 2480?

I do know that he needed the emagic at one point when he first got it, and it was working, but this was about a year ago.

Hope you get help, that sounds like a tangly situation....

Yeah, this unit is awesome, but it looks like it is better suited for a Mac. So, as I shed a tear or two, I've decided to sell it. After much research, it looks like Emagic continues to update their software for Macs.

So, anyone out there that wants a REALLY GREAT DEAL on a Roland Studio Pro system, go to the "Classfieds" section on this webpage for more details (I'm selling it for $200 LESS than Musicians Friend and American Musical Supply and you are getting the same exact thing). E-mail if any of you have questions.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, one more thing. I'm going to be putting this on eBay this weekend, but I wanted to give my friends at HRC first dibs on it in case they are interested. :)

Ok, here you go!

I copied this from a previous ad on the system. It describes it well:

It includes a hardware control surface with 24-bit/96kHz I/O and 13 motorized faders (SI-24), a PCI audio card (RPC-1), and powerful sequencing and recording software from Emagic, Logic RPC Pro.

With the Studio Package Pro, users can record on a computer and mix using a real control surface with templates for Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools and more. Features: * Computer-based recording package consisting of control surface with A/D-D/A converters (SI-24), PCI audio card (RPC-1) and cross-platform music Recording/Sequencing software (Logic RPC Pro) * 8 XLR inputs with phantom power, 6 analog outputs and digital I/O‹all with 24-bit/96kHz sound quality * 13 motorized faders, 12 knobs and 5.1 surround joystick for editing EQ, effects parameters and creating automixes * RPC-1 audio card allows 8-channel exchange of audio and MIDI data between computer and SI-24 via single R-BUS cable * Includes Emagic Logic RPC Pro for professional MIDI sequencing and 24-bit/96kHz audio recording with 5.1 surround mixing, plug-ins and more * Direct access to Logic¹s customizable screensets, plus locators and short-cuts * Compatible with Windows 98/SE/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS 9.1, 9.2.2

Let me know what you want to do. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP. E-mail me!

Hey man,
Is there a patch for Mac's OSX or is it strictly for 9.1 and 9.2.2

I'm not sure. I'll have to get the books back out and look at them. I'm going to bed. I'll try to give you a call on Sunday (tomorrow) afternoon!

The book says you can control it with pro-tools version 4.1 or later, Cubase VST 5.0 or later.

As far as minimum requirements are concerned for the Mac, it says that it will work with Mac 8.6 or later. It suggests 9.0 or later versions.

It also states that Mac OSX is not supported, but will be supported in the near future. Seeing as how this came out 2 years ago, it will probably be supported by now.

I'd rather sell it to you than to have to do the eBay thing. I've been e-mailing you. Am I e-mailing the wrong account? E-mail me at [email protected]. I'll try to call you tonight!!!
