Any opinions on the E-MU Mp-7
command station???

And is there any need to upgrade to a better mixer if I mix strictly on the software...

Basically all I use my mixer for is device volume levels and muting certain devices?

For the record, he is talking about this:

service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

Which I know nothing about personally...looks cool tho :-)

Ok, who moved it..??

I think you kinda answered your own question, didn't you. Why replace something that is doing the job for you as is....especially to the tune of $800.00......

If it ain't broke, don't fix it....

I've had mine for about three months now and I'm still a bit on the fence about it. It has some incredible sounds and the 16 recordable tracks give you room to work and a boat load of possiblities that will keep you busy, busy, busy. The problems start when you "attempt" to transmit MIDI. Or if you prefer, you can just transmit your data as audio and it works fine.
