I want to change the gain of my bass drum so they are all totally identical in volume... is there a plugin for this or must i use external compressors and stuff.... its a pain having to go through double bass runs and change the gain on some of the notes... any help?

Jun 05, 2004 01:00 am There are software compressors you could use. What software are you using to record? If your software doesn't come with one, there are free ones on the net you can get that may be able to be incorporated into your software. So yes, there are plugins for it.
However, sometimes its better to not have every drum the same volume so it gives more of a live performance feel.

Jun 05, 2004 10:16 pm AK, check out our links section under software/freeware. There are tons of free pluggins and lots of compressors. Some have a sidechanin built into them so you trigger the compressor with the bass note and make it compress the kick, or vice versa.
