I want to distort vocals,
Would it be possible to directly plug a microphone into my POD 2 , -or should I use a kind of DI-box (from low to high impedance) or a mic-preamp?
many thanx,
Alfred

May 30, 2004 09:20 pm i do it all the time. the POD provides me with vocal compression. go ahead and do it! the pod is a di box. i dont know if i know what i am talking about, but arent guitar pickups as well as most non-powered mics classed as 'low impedence?'

May 31, 2004 03:20 am I have the pod xt and use it sometimes on the voice. I put it on Tube pre-amp and then add some reverb. For distortion I just spin the amp modeller until I find something I like. If it sounds good then I go with it. Just fiddle around until you find a sound you like. The rules are meant to be broken. The only problem is that the pod does not have phantom power so you cant run a condensor mic through it unless you pre-amp it first.
