dumb question...

I've always been recording my vocals in stereo, but when I opened a sample template in Fruity Loops Studio Edition, they had their vocals in Mono. Should vocals be in mono?

Also, is it possible to record .wav data into fruity loops without having to use a program like adobe audition or cool edit?

I always record vocals in mono, then apply any stereo effects or that type of thing during mixing...basically, anything that is a mono signal (most human heads have only one mouth) I record in mono. It not only takes up less hard drive space, but it is easier to manage when panning and such during mixing as well.

Just my two cents.

I'm with dB as far as recording in mono. Don't use fruity, but I don't think it can be done (don't quote me though).
