Hey everyone. I was just wondering about the Behrenger Eurodesk Mx9000 mixer. Is that an analog mixer or could it be compatible with Pro Tools? I was just wondering, cause I'm trying to come up with a rough list of what I'm gonna get for my studio. Thanks

May 11, 2004 10:56 pm Strictly analog mixer. Not a control surface. No midi handling provisions what so ever.
May 11, 2004 11:52 pm Ok. Thanks. Just checking. By the way, can you tell me of any good mixers that are compatible with Pro Tools, or any digital mixers you prefer in general? Thanks.
May 12, 2004 04:33 am If it is "compatible with Pro Tools", then you are looking for a "control surface", not a "mixer". A control surface interfaces with the computer to control the software via it's controls.
In our Gear Bag section you will find a products called the Digi002. service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear it's a package of Pro Tools LE and a control surface. To get bigger than that would cost big money, as I believe you would have to start getting in to their larger HD systems.
May 12, 2004 09:45 am Thanks DB. Now, do you know the dimensions of the control surface? Or, do you know where I can find them?
May 12, 2004 10:12 am I would say at the manufacturers web site would be a good place to start.
May 12, 2004 06:41 pm Thanks for the info on the Digi002. I've read a bunch of reviews that have gotten me pretty much decided on using the Digi002 with Pro Tools. So here's yeat another question. I know that you have to buy Pro Tools upgrades each time a new version is released, but when you buy the Digi002 (which comes with the Pro Tools software, from what I've read), do you get the latest version? So, if I was to buy the Digi002 package off Musicians friend right now, when I receive it, will it contain the latest version of Pro Tools, or will it contain the version that was out when the Digi002 was first released?
May 12, 2004 06:53 pm I dunno, you'll have to check with where you buy it (Musician's Friend from a link from here if possible ;-)
But yes, generally the packages like that are the latest of everything at the time you buy it.
