Band Practice, Sound Proofing

Hi, I have a question for anyone who's ever been in a band and needed to tone things down for the neighbors. I just finished reading two great articles on sound reduction,

and I've rounded up a bunch of thick fabric and blankets for a budget sound-proof band room. But here's the problem: since we just lost our old practice room when the chick's parents sold their trailer, we're moving things to the drummer's basement. The walls are finished in drywall and I have no idea how to hang up a bunch of old quilts without marking up and nailing holes in the new gypsum board. Anyone tackled a problem like this before? Any alternative methods for the budget musician? thanks in advance -j

food for thought:

or see if you can get your hands on some office cubicle dividers at a local used office furniture outlet or something.

thanks, thats great. that's got me thinking maybe i can build a wooden frame and stretch the blankets over it. I'm even concidering using this thinner cloth to make my own "quilt" by pancaking layers of it with that fuzzy stuff inside of comforters. then maybe i can just lean these big "sound control boards" against whatever wall needs absorbsion. good lookin' out ;O)
