I use cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro and Fl Studio to record, but when I burn it the volume level is low and I can make it louder on guitar tracks but it clips when before it gets loud enough. I think with a good Mastering Software I could make it louder without missing up the sound quality.

May 01, 2004 07:41 pm Har-Bal is my mastering app of choice. www.har-bal.com/
WaveLab and Sound Forge are two good audio editors/mastering apps.
Izotope Ozone is an awesome mastering plugin, as is Magneto.
May 01, 2004 07:51 pm I use Sound Forge...the best program I've used for Mastering - easy to use, powerful and excellent results in a short space of time.
Downside is the price but it is good...
Best thing to do is get a load of demos, try em all and get the one you like/can use the best.
Cheers...
Coco.

May 02, 2004 06:36 pm Sound Forge XP has pretty much the main mastering features and if you use it in conjunction with a cheaper multi-tracker (I use N-Track) it can be an inexpensive way of achieving excellent results.

May 02, 2004 10:57 pm I'm lovin Cubase SX with Ozone 3 VST. Cubase has a sweet little template for mastering that is just too simple. Another simple sonic maximizer is the PSP warmer. Adjustable knee, limiter, two band frequency selective compression.
