Question about pitch correction

With Sonar, what would be the best route for an affordable pitch correction solution. I am seeing Antares makes a software for pitch correction, and one for mic modeling. But the rack unit they have does both, for less then both the software packages would cost.

Is Antares the only solution?

I don't think it's the only solution. I have a T.C. Helicon Harmonizer that has pitch correction in it as well. I'd be carful with the Antares Vocal Producer. I had one and sent it back. I wasn't real thrilled with it. I have a rack mounted Antares ATR-1 and that works very nice. We have the Antares software avalible when we record in the studio... but the guys in my band sing on key. So we never really get a chance to hear it in action.

Maybe I'm just tainted about the Antares Vocal Producer because I have good mics, better EQ's, and better compressors than it had in it.

kivi if you want to do just single pick and shoot pitch correction there is a pluggin in Sonar that will do a dandy job, I use it alot on single hit notes and such.

cool thanks. Just got to mess with Sonar first time last night. Looks very interesting. Just barely touched the basics though, LOTS to learn.
