Got two songs that I've been working on. "Trent Jam" is a acoustic song that my friend was playing around with while we were messing around recording. "It Is You" is a Newsboys song that our church does. So, tell me what you think. Plus, I play the keyboard :) Here's the link:

Oh yeah, think only the lo-fi is working right now. Hopefully the hi-fi and mp3 will work shortly

I got the lo-fi to play and they both sound pretty good at lo-fi. I will wait to comment till I hear them on hi-fi.

And ya, I dont know why soundclick does that. If it is only going to play on lo-fi, then only show the lo-fi link.

Loved the Trent Jam, only thing I would say about that is try to inject some low end into it. It is very much on the tiny side. Again that may be due to the mp3 conversion though.

It is you sounds great. The drums could have a little more punch to them, but arent bad as you can hear them pretty well except when the instruments get going at higher levels. The piano sound good as well, and the guitar seems to blend well with it.

Cant wait to hear this with bass and vox added. Nice job over all.

Thanks!

Yeah, I was listening to Trent Jam last night and was saying to myself to put some low end in it. Wish we had a better acoustic. It was Trent's dad's old old old acoustic that sounds very agressive.

The drums on It Is You is the cheapest Roland V-Drums out, last years model I believe. My friend Nathan (the drummer) has spent a lot of time adjusting those things to sound real as possible. Plus, Ozone helps out alot to make them stand out in the mastering stage. You can tell they're fake when he's riding the cymbals in the song. But I just got Audix Fusion 6 drum mics in yesterday and the drum cage has been ordered to go in the church, so real Pearl BRX drums will be replacing these V-Drums in a month or so on the recordings.

Glad you liked the piano! That was me playing it! Woot!

I just listened to both songs and the musicianship sounds very nice. It was cool listening to the Newsboys tune :)
My personal opinion on sound quality would be that the acoustic sounds kind of "twangy." How is it being recorded? It sounds like it's plugged in, in which case I would recommend miking it instead. You'll get a much more realistic tone. The piano sounds very nice. The drums sound rather good for a cheap V-Drums set, in my opinion, but a real drumset will definately be nice. If the acoustic is already being miked, then it must just be the guitar itself, like you said. Anyway, good job.

Thanks again!

Yep, you got it, the acoustic was plugged in. I miked it starting off. But the mic I was using was a cheap mic (around $50 bucks or so I believe)and it sounded in the distant even when it was about to touch the strings on any part near the acoustic. It did okay when miking the electric guitar amp, but I want something better. But right now I'm in the process of finishing up the drum mics with a Audix D6 for the kick and to also use to record the bass cabinet. Then, I'm going to get a nice studio mic. So, I'm hoping to clear up these couple of things when I get the money! (Isn't that everyone's issue? not nearly enough money to complete what we want)

The fat one always watches us.
